Exciting news, Travelers!

Starting this week, ST is launching a whole new feature. We figured it was time to start letting our favorite venues spend some time in the limelight, so we developed a weekly feature we're calling....VENUE SPOTLIGHT!

That's right: every week we will zoom in on one venue that we feel deserves some recognition, be it for its uniqueness, its "cool factor," its technical prowess, or even its notoriety. There's a reason why these places stick around – and draw the crowds (and heaps of praise) that they do, so we are taking a closer look.

Each week, we will feature one special place (and sometimes, a few special places!) and you'll be treated with:

Load-In: a brief account of the venue's background; the story of these special places
In's & Out's: fun facts & attributes that make these places unique
a current or 'legacy' review of a show witnessed at the venue
PLUS the official induction of the venue into our STAGE TRAVELER VENUE DATABASE!
Interviews with the staff/patrons
...and much more!

There will be lots of suprises along the way, so be sure to stay tuned to our site, our Facebook, and our Instagram for more information. This week, we're kicking things off with the Schaefer Center for Performing Arts in Boone, NC, featuring a concert review for the Feb. 13th concert put on by HERBIE HANCOCK!
